Balbriggan Meals on Wheels need volunteers.

WE NEED YOU

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A VOLUNTEER

If you want to be a volunteer all you need to do is donate a couple of hours of your time

once a month or once a week to be a driver or you could donate around four hours of your time once a month or once a week to help in the kitchen.

We also need an "idea's" person to help on the fund raising committee and this would be just to meet up and organise events to raise money for Meals on Wheels.

BALBRIGGAN MEALS ON WHEELS

Balbriggan Meals on Wheels was founded in 1975. The kitchen was built in three months. All the work on the building was carried out by volunteer labour. The first meals were delivered on the 1st of January 1976. Some people who worked in the very 1st year are still with us today.

Balbriggan Meals on Wheels was established to provide meals for people who were ill, recovering from a serious illness, or some reason are unable to provide meals for themselves. Balbriggan Meals Ltd still provides meals to the most vulnerable people in our community; they are people who are referred to us by Public Health Nurses and Social Workers. It is an essential service that requires all the support it can get.
