On Saturday night Balscadden FC launched their mammoth draw that offers you the chance to win a brand new house.

The 'Win A Dublin Home' kicked off on Saturday night in the Balscadden Inn.

Soccer Republic's Marie Crowe was the MC as the competition officially opened.

The two-bedrooom house is located in Balrothery. There's also spectacular runner-up prizes including:

• A seven-day Mediterranean cruise

• A trip to Lapland for a family of 4

• A Christmas market break to Berlin

• A weekend trip to Rome

• A weekend trip to Barcelona

Tickets are €100 (plus booking charge if bought online) and are now available to buy. The draw itself will take place in June 2019.

"This is a very exciting undertaking for us and we hope to use the proceeds to leave

the club in a strong position for future generations," said club Secretary Willie Burke.

"There's been lots of interest and the prize speaks for itself. It's a life-changing prize and we wish everyone who enters it the very best of luck. To win a house right on the commuter belt in a lovely village like Balrothery would be an unbelievable story."
