Fingal Mayor competes in all 6 parkruns.
Over the months of March, April and May I set myself the challenge to complete the six Fingal parkruns in River Valley, Donabate, Ardgillan, Malahide, Porterstown and Hartstown. It was great fun and incredibly enjoyable and I met some great people along the way. Great volunteers and great community spirit. It was something that I wanted to complete before my year as Mayor of Fingal came to an end. We also have two excellent junior parkruns for 4 to 14 year olds in Rush and Balbriggan every Sunday morning at 9.30am.
parkrun organise free, weekly, 5km timed runs around the world every Saturday morning at 9.30am. They are open to everyone, free, and are safe and easy to take part in. junior parkrun is a series of 2k runs for children aged between 4 and 14 and these take place on Sunday mornings at 9.30am.
