FRIENDS OF AUTISM & ADHD PRESENTATION NIGHT

FRIENDS OF AUTISM & ADHD donated a fine total of 1€2,500 to 9 different causes in the Balbriggan / Skerries area. Groups included Meals on Wheels, Skerries Day care Centre, Balbriggan Senior Citizens Centre , 89th Bremore Scouts and Balbriggan 34/161st Scouts, Balbriggan Cancer Support, Skerries Soundwaves, Bracken Educate Together and Fingal Arch Club.

Over this year ( and including the above total) Friends have spent over 41,000 euro on our services to the public . These services include our Advocacy service, 30 funded Psychological and Psychiatric Assessments , providing 'Coping with Exam Stress' workshops for 6th year students in local schools ( in partnership with The Confidence Clinic), providing 10 Buddy Benches ( in conjunction with Balbriggan Men's Shed) to local primary schools .Many thanks also to Tara Killen, Deirdre Lynch and Deanna Dix-Peek who donated their skills and time to assist us with providing Mindfulness , Sensory and Autism Awareness talks.
