HAVE YOUR SAY ON THE LOCAL PROPERTY TAX

The Annual Pubic consultation process in regards to the percentage rate of the Local Property Tax to be charged by Fingal County Council for 2018 has begun. The maximum allowed by legislation is a cut of 15% or an Increase of 15%. This is an opportunity to have your say on what percentage of a cut that you want of this unfair tax. I would encourage everyone to make a submission & call for the maximum 15% cut.

Myself & my party colleagues will be voting for a 15% cut so to put more money in the pockets of the people of Fingal to boost the local economy. All submissions, including the names and addresses of those making submissions to the Council, will form part of the statutorily required report to be presented to the September meeting of Fingal County Council for the decision of the councillors. They will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and will appear on the Council’s Website.

The period for submissions is from Monday 3rd July, 2017 to 12noon on Thursday 3rd of August, 2017.
