“Castleland Project has no funding for a swimming pool” Cllr Murphy explains that the council have only identified a parcel of land suitable for a swimming pool. No funding by LDA and no capital within FCC budgets are being made available. Mentioning the advocacy group North Fingal Pool Campaign Cllr Murphy believes there is no appetite for Municipal Swimming Pools within the county council following his motion to have surplus funds of €8 million ringfenced and provisioned towards a municipal swimming pool was not supported.
Cllr Murphy insists he will stand his ground until Municipal Pool is delivered for North Fingal.
