Packed room at Rush over Bus Connects Proposals to scrap 33 Bus Services.

There was standing room only in Rush Community Centre this week as Cllr Brian

Dennehy and Local TD Darragh O'Brien help a public meeting calling on commuter to make public submissions on the Bus Connect plans, that would see changes that would reduce bus services for the Balbriggan and Skerries area and indeed reduction in services to the city for most of North County Dublin. Balbriggan and Skerries need more frequent and reliable bus services, not less.

New proposals would see most 33 bus services removed and no direct Dublin Bus services to Dublin City Centre. The 33 bus services provide a vital archery route along the north east of Fingal. The proposals rely on a proposed strategy to encourage commuters onto an already over burdened rail service.

Next meeting will be held in Skerries 29th August 19.30 Mourne View Community Centre 7.30 Hosted by Senator Lorraine Clifford-Lee CLICK HERE

On September 13th Senator Lorraine Clifford Lee will host a further meeting for Balbriggan in The Bracken Court Hotel CLICK HERE
