Seven St Patrick’s Day parades in Fingal cancelled

Following a detailed risk assessment of the threat posed by Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Eoghan O’Brien, and the Chief Executive of Fingal County Council, AnnMarie Farrelly, have agreed that the seven St Patrick’s Day Parades which were to have taken place across the county should be cancelled.

The parades affected are Swords, Balbriggan, Blanchardstown, Malahide, Skerries, Rush and Lusk.

Fingal County Council will continue to follow the advice of the Department of Health and the Health Service Executive in dealing with the potential impact of Coronavirus (COVIT-19) on our activities and our Crisis Management Team is working to ensure that the Council is ready and prepared to deal with matters as they arise.
