Fingal Community Development Office in association with Play Therapist Melissa Moore
will be hosting a Supportive Parenting Programme starting on
Monday September 19th
for 6 weeks from
09.45-10.45
in the Irish Institute of Music and Song Balbriggan.
Would you like to be part of a small, supportive group of likeminded parents, open to learning new skills?
This informative and experiential 6 week course facilitated by Accredited Play Therapist, Melissa Moore will explore:
The idea of a Perfect Parent (there is no such thing!) and Why we parent the way we do
The importance of “showing up” as a parent
The role of play in developing happy, healthy, resilient children
Effective communication with our children, how we can use it to connect with children in a positive way, promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
How do we manage big behaviours and how can we support our children managing their big feelings, particularly anxiety
