Tankerville Gutted by Fire. 2006

Tankerville is a beautiful thatched building just off Drogheda St. opposite Bath road. Apparently locals were seen drinking nearby and not long after that, the building was engulfed in flames. This is the second thatched building to be lost to fire as in the 1980's the longest thatched cottage in Ireland was also destroyed by fire. Lets hope that those who caused this recent fire are brought before the courts.
