The Death has occurred of Michael Lynch (Formally of Clonard St)

We received the below message from Fred Lynch Nephew of Michael:

Michael Lynch, who was born in Balbriggan in 1927 and lived on Clonard street until he moved to England in the mid 1950s, has sadly passed away on January 16th in Wigan at the age of 90.

He had five siblings Sean,Owen,Nancy, Freddie(better known as Bunny) and Paddy. He is survived only by sister Nancy who now lives in Cork.

In Wigan he had carved out a successful career as a central heating engineer, a job he did well into his eighties. He was a popular man locally and had many friends through his interests in horses, dogs and walking , amongst many other things. He never forgot his Irish background, still listening to RTE, regularly visiting Balbriggan.net and spending many holidays in Ireland. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

He leaves behind a widow Joyce. His funeral will take place at Sacred Heart church, Hindley Green, Wigan. Any donations to Wigan Hospice please.
