Tri County Beach Clean up in progress North of Balbriggan
A team of volunteers regularly meet up to clean the beaches at the Delvin River Gormanston just north of Balbriggan. South of the river where it reaches the sea is Fingal and North County Dublin, then the beach spans Counties Meath and Louth as far as Ben Head. A beautiful area popular with tourists from Balbriggan and beyond.
A team from Gormanston Community Association traverse the whole area removing litter and unfortunately much fly tipping material. All this is done by volunteers at their own expense.
The Team is regularly joined by John Stillman, a Fine Gael candidate in the 2019 Local Election for Meath County Council. I also met Brendan Regan a long time member of Gormanston Community Association and also Sean Crosson who provides use of his trusty tractor.
A great team well done all.
