Balbriggan Tidy Towns hosted a wonderful Exhibition in the Millfield Shopping Centre this weekend aptly entitled ‘Waste not, Want not’ and featured Artists, local schools and the Balbriggan Men's Shed all contributing Art made from recycled materials.

The event was officially launched by environmentalist and TV presenter Duncan Stewart , who complemented the standard of work displayed. Large crowds turned out for the Launch, and the work was very well received indeed.

Contributing Artists included: Dave West, Àine Ivers, Julita Jaroszuk, Joseph V. Voda, Thomas Brezing, Cris Neumann, David Newton, Martin Hughes.

Also exhibiting their work was the Balbriggan Men’s Shed, who displayed their oversized Adirondack chair, which proved a big hit with the visitors.

Loreto College, Balbriggan Community College and Ardgillan Community College, displayed a collection of dresses made for the National Junk Kouture competition.

The Exhibition will be on display until Monday evening 4th April and is well worth a visit!
