Who Remembers Red Island

We came across this photo some weeks back on Face Book, I can’t remember the name of the site to credit them with the photo. I’m sure someone will let us know what its called. This is the best photo I’ve ever seen of Red Island and shows how big the complex was. It was run by Fergal Quinn from the late 1940s to the late 1960s and closed in 1970 and demolished in 1980. Apparently it had 250 bedrooms and accommodated about 500 guest weekly. Also I believe Fergal Quinn purchased the Martello Tower and had it fitted out and his family lived there during the season. Do you have any memories of Red Island or any photos of it?
